In an earlier blog published on Substack …
… I opined that Nancy Pelosi has a plan to short stop the red wave that is anticipated in the upcoming 2022 mid-term elections.
Her plan is simple. Her January 6th Committee will, at the appointed time, announce that Republican politicians … who were in communication with President Trump between election day in November and January 6th when a riot took place on Capitol Hill … will be deemed ineligible to be on their respective state ballots in accordance with Article 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. The website Constitution Annotated tells us that Section 3 states:
“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”
So, we can anticipate that the January 6th Committee will, in fact, declare that Republican candidates who communicated with Trump in any way are ineligible to be on the ballot in ’22. I suspect that this will happen after the primaries in each state are completed to inflict maximum mayhem on the system.
But make no mistake about it … the mid-terms are just the warm-up for the Democrats. The real show will be the 2024 Presidential election. Just today, The Hill published the following headline: “Trump attempted coup on Jan. 6 to be highlighted in hearings, panel member says” The article was written by Elizabeth Crisp and published today. The article goes on to tell us …
The panel investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol will focus on then-President Trump’s role when committee hearings resume next month, according to one of the leading Democrats on the committee.
Rep. Jamie Raskin, (D-Md.), who led the prosecution of Trump’s second impeachment, said in a recent interview that Trump attempted a “self-coup.”
Yes, that’s right, the “prosecutor” who lied to the American public about the events of Jan 6th during the impeachment of President Trump and failed to get a conviction is the “Grand Inquisitor” … the Tomás de Torquemada of the January 6th Committee.
And Raskin has made it clear that ---
“We’re going to tell the whole story of everything that happened,” Raskin said, according to Reuters’ report from the interview, which also involved NPR and The Guardian.”
Take note of the language that Raskin is using in his interviews:
“This was a coup organized by the president against the vice president and against the Congress in order to overturn the 2020 presidential election …”
The operative word in this statement is “coup” --- It was not just a riot. It was a “coup” and you cannot have an Insurrection without an attempt to overthrow the government. But he is not finished --- he goes on to say:
“There was a violent insurrection and an attempted coup … “
So, now the January 6th Committee has established the linkage … INSURRECTION to COUP to ARTICLE 3 of the 14th AMENDMENT and a clear attempt to squash any notion that Trump can be the Republican candidate in 2024. Complete and utter destruction of the Republican Party … nothing else is acceptable.
Someone once told me that “Republicans fight ‘til they lose and Democrats fight ‘til they win.” And here we have a clear demonstration of the Democrats’ doctrine emerging right before our eyes … the Democrats are giving it the “Full Monty” and apparently, the Republican leadership in Congress does not see this coming. Or perhaps they do see it coming and are onboard with the idea that Trump should not be the Republican nominee for President in 2024. Either way, the Republicans are going to lose. They are not forcefully challenging this sham committee and its findings. If they don’t do something soon, the Dems will have the advantage yet again and the magnificent “Red Wave” that the Republicans are promising in ’22 may very well be a tired little puddle on the bathroom floor when all is said and done.
So … it is time for the Republican Party to put away their White Gloves and Party Manners and in the words of the MMA Fighter Tim Kennedy … “Fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah’s Ark and brother it’s starting to rain” …
