After watching only a few minutes of the January 6th Commission, I can only conclude one thing --- Liz Cheney is the American Quisling!
Now, for those of you who may not be old enough to remember some of the more detailed history of World War II, let me remind you WHAT and WHO a QUISLING is. Let’s start with a definition as provided in the Oxford Language Dictionary: quis·ling /ˈkwizliNG/ a traitor who collaborates with an enemy force occupying their country. Got that … a TRAITOR who COLLABORATES with an ENEMY FORCE occupying their country.
But the word “Quisling” is not just an act of betrayal to one country. The word is derived from the action of one Vidkun Abraham Lauritz Jonssøn Quisling.
Quisling was a Norwegian military officer, politician and Nazi collaborator who nominally headed the government of Norway during the country's occupation by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Are you beginning to see the connection?
Clearly, the United States is not currently in a state of war --- or is it? Many have opined that, in fact, there is a state of “Cold War” existing in the United States at this very time. With the results of the last presidential election still in doubt in the minds of millions of Americans, coupled with the policies and programs of the Democrat Party and the Biden Administration --- it feels to many Americans that we are indeed in a Civil War --- albeit, it is a cold one --- but, how long will it remain that way?
The January 6th Commission could very well be the catalyst that takes this country in a direction that we have not seen since 1860. The Commission itself was constituted in a manner that violates over 200 years of tradition in the US House of Representatives.
As Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi DID NOT accept the appointment of Republican representation on the Commission as provided by the Minority Leader of the House. No, she decided unilaterally to make the appointments of two of the biggest Trump haters serving in Congress – Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. Cheney and Kinzinger could have declined this appointment; but instead, they have both earned a unique place in the history of the Republican Party. The term RINO does not begin to describe what these two are doing to our country.
Now, don’t think we don’t have a similar historical character that parallels the actions and activities of Adam Kinzinger. Again, we find someone in World War II history … in the case of Kinzinger, it is the French Marshal Philippe Pétain …
… as seen in his collaboration with the Nazis, while he served as the head of the French Government, which was commonly called the Vichy Government. The definition of Vichy as provided by Dictionary.Com: a city in central France: provisional capital of unoccupied France 1940–1942.
So, let’s review --- Vichy France is the common name of the French State headed by Marshal Philippe Pétain during World War II. Officially independent, it adopted a policy of COLLABORATION with Nazi Germany …
… which occupied its northern and western portions before occupying the remainder of Metropolitan France in November 1942. The parallel is obvious --- Petain represented his government and collaborated with the Nazis --- Kinzinger, who served in the United States Air Force, represented his constituents and also collaborated with the enemy … his political enemies.
Understanding all of this, Republican National Committee Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel voted to censure Cheney and Kinzinger for their roles on the House Jan. 6 Committee. "Cheney and Kinzinger have engaged in actions in their positions as members of the January 6th Select Committee not befitting Republican members of Congress," and "seem intent on advancing a political agenda to buoy the Democrat Party's bleak prospects in the upcoming midterm elections," the resolution also reads.
Given their most recent performance on behalf of the Dems, I would go one step further with these two. The Chair of the RNC, Ronna McDaniel, should declare both of them “persona non-grata”. The meaning of the phrase: If someone becomes or is declared persona non grata, they become UNWELCOME or UNACCEPTABLE because of something they have said or done. Could there be anything more fitting for these two collaborators?
Kinzinger is quitting at the end of this term and in response, we say “Don’t let the door hit you in the butt.” Cheney is running for re-election in the State of Wyoming. Let’s hope the voters of Wyoming have seen who this woman really is --- The American Quisling --- and vote her out of office.
